Prince – Sign O’ The Times Is Larger Than Life in IMAX

As far as concert films go, the idea of seeing Prince’s 1987 live concert film Sign O’ The Times in IMAX is potentially as good as it gets.

Back in ’87, the BBC wrote, “The concert film remains one of the most scintillating documents of an artist at the summit of their powers... when you listen again to Sign 'O' The Times, you realize why Prince was routinely labelled a genius in the late 80s.”

The double album at the time was herald as a "masterpiece" full of “sweat, funk, and raw, concentrated talent".

Now fans can enjoy watching the diminutive singer/showman in a larger-than-life IMAX scale as Prince – Sign O’ The Times will be released in IMAX theatres globally for a limited time beginning August 29. The critically acclaimed film, directed by Prince and featuring Prince, Sheila E. and his talented band of musicians, has undergone IMAX’s proprietary Digital Media Remastering (DMR) process to deliver unprecedented image and sound quality, offering audiences an immersive experience of Prince’s legendary performance like never before.
