HAVANA NIGHTS COME TO CENTURY CITY

Century City was a magical movie place when Ken visited from Barbie Land and now, nightly, through summer, it’s a festive and fantastical destination as Havana Nights has come to Fairmont Century Plaza.

Havana Nights is an outdoor Cuban inspired cocktail lounge that aptly brings the rhythms of Cuba to life. Offering handcrafted cocktails, tasty light bites, and a calendar of community events, the outdoor bar area is a chic cocktail corner perfect for after work shenanigans.

The outdoor bar area was previously home to winter chalets but has now been transformed with vibrant décor reminiscent to 1950s Havana with a spirited drink menu in partnership with SelvaRey Rum. The cocktail lounge serves a curated menu of Mojitos, Cuba Libres, and more libations featuring SelvaRey Rum, the premium rum brand co-owned by Bruno Mars. I was a big fan of the Rum OId Fashioned with SelvaRey Rum Reserve, as well as Azucar! with SelvaRey Chocolate Rum—it’s the perfect liquid dessert.

Executive Chef Ramon Bojorquez offers a twist of Cuban classics such as Plantains, Croquettes, and Cubano Sandwiches.  These tasty treats are just what you want and need in a cool, chill setting.

The lounge offers five custom-built cabanas with seating available for 2-8 guests plus two communal tables. Designed with tropical luxury in mind, each cabana is unique and offers a striking Cuban-inspired feel with garlands of palms, bright flowers and vibrant prints. Firepit seating, which can accommodate up to four guests, is also offered. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to mingle and dance.

Entertainment includes DJ nights Tuesday through Thursday, Cuban band performances, mixology evenings, game nights, cigar rolling, and dance classes for the rumba, samba and salsa.

The Havana Nights experience can be booked on OpenTable and is available nightly beginning at 5pm through Summer 2024. The Fairmont Century Plaza is located at 2025 Avenue of the Stars in Century City.
